Hello All! Back with another blog post, and this time we're talking about education. Owner and Stylist Stacy @ the International Trend Vision Awards 2016 in Las Vegas. Follow the money. One question us Looks girls are constantly asked is, what really happens when you purchase retail at our salon? Some think the salon gets the total sales profit, while others think that the stylists / staff who recommend the products get the profit. The true answer might surprise you. It might even inspire you. The Looks Team during an in-salon educational class with Evo Fabuloso Pro. Where it really goes. The truth lies in a little something called our Product Fund. The way it works is simple. Each stylist has their own Product Fund. When you purchase products at Looks, recommended by your stylist, a percentage of commission from that product sale goes into that stylists fund. That fund pays for the stylists' education, whether it be in-salon classes / certifications, or out of salon classes / certifications, symposiums, training retreats, etc. The Product Fund can even help your stylist afford new tools. Providing the opportunity to obtain excellence through education. How awesome is that? Knowing that when you purchase amazing, quality products, your money spent isn't just stopping there. Your purchase is helping your stylist grow and further themselves with you, our client, in mind. This allows us to stay up-to-date and on-point every time you book an appointment. Talk about a win-win #amirite?! Stylists, Lien and Kelly, at the Redken Exchange NYC's Color Fix & Damage Control three-day training course. "Find a career you love & you'll never work a day in your life." ~ Lien, Looks Stylist Stylists Rachael and Jackie attending Outside The Lines, with Justin Issac and Sam Villa. "Allow passion to become your purpose & it will one day become your profession." ~ Rachael, Looks Stylist Makeup Artists Aaron, Kelsie and Bri spending time learning at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy NYC's weeklong intensive make-up training course. I was at this one! Having just started at Looks last January, I never would have originally had the opportunity to travel to New York for such an intensive, and amazing class. My product fund made it possible, and I'm so grateful for that. I don't think most people realize the continued education cost for workers in this industry. We want to grow, we want to expand. Here at Looks Hair Design, our clients have a hand in our future; by helping us better our skills and our craft. As well as helping us create a positive, encouraging environment to better our staff, which in turn allows us to provide great service and a great client experience for all our guests. We love answering your question because it's our chance to let you know that when you leave our salon, looking and feeling good with your new products in tow, you're actually making us feel good. We're grateful that you came in that day, and grateful for your support. You're not just leaving with a bag of items; you're leaving us with opportunity. See you next time, lovely people! xx Bri

For us girls, our crowning glory is our hair. We are not going anywhere with a messy hair. We are in best mood if our hair is in good condition. Without a good hair, we are not in good condition. Good hair reflects a positive outlook in life and confidence. Thanks to your blog post, I learned that I should take good care of my hair through proper education.
